Connect Vanta to Allin with MCP
Everything to prepare to connect this tool to Allin.
This guide is public. It contains no company configuration and grants no Allin access. Share secrets through your usual secure channel.
Technical preparation

Use a Vanta administrator account and choose the URL for your organization’s region: US, EU or AUS.

Save the connection, then click Authorize. Sign in to Vanta in your browser and review the requested permissions; Allin handles OAuth registration and PKCE.

The server advertises the mcp-api.all:write scope, prefilled in Allin. Discover the tools, then enable only the operations you need. For read-only access through Allin, leave write tools disabled.
What to give the Allin administrator
The organization’s region and authorization from a Vanta administrator account. In personal mode, each person must also have the required Vanta role.

Check the region, administrator role and granted permissions. After a role or authorization change, reconnect the Vanta account. The hosted MCP does not require the old local Vanta server.
