Connect Postman to Allin with MCP
Everything to prepare to connect this tool to Allin.
This guide is public. It contains no company configuration and grants no Allin access. Share secrets through your usual secure channel.
Technical preparation

In Postman, open Settings → Account settings → API keys and generate an API key for the account you want to connect. A collection access key does not replace a Postman API key.

Choose your Postman account region. The standard server is https://mcp.postman.com/minimal. The server https://mcp.eu.postman.com/minimal is for accounts hosted in Postman’s EU region.

Paste the key into Allin without the Bearer prefix. Save, discover the tools, then authorize only those your teams need. The key grants access to the data available to the connected Postman account.

Then verify a read-only call such as getWorkspaces. Tool discovery can succeed even if the key cannot access data in the selected region.
What to give the Allin administrator
An active Postman API key and the account region. Enter the key in Allin, never on this public guide.

401 on getWorkspaces despite successful discovery: check the account region first, then the key’s validity and expiration. The MCP expects Authorization: Bearer, not the Postman REST API’s X-API-Key header. Allin’s Bearer mode handles this.
